The BCOS picnic
is going to be held on May 17th from 11 AM to 7 PM. It will be held at
the pavilion in the Windover Farms of Melbourne community. The address
is 4025 Windover Way, Melbourne, FL.
There will be all kinds of food and fun. The picnic is for members
(must be a paid 2025 BCOS member) and their family. The society rents
the pavilion, supplies hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, rolls, condiments,
soda, water, and related supplies. You will be able to bring beer &
wine. All you have to do is bring a hot side dish, salad, or dessert.
There is electricity available to keep the dishes warm.
There will be a sign up at the April general meeting so we know how
many will be attending and to indicate what hot side dish, salad, or
dessert you will be bringing. Please don't forget to bring serving
utensils.
We will be having an orchid raffle; each member gets one ticket for
each dish they bring and 3 tickets for volunteering. Additional tickets
can be purchased. We will also be playing bingo for prizes. Bingo cards
can be purchased at the picnic. Nopets please. If you have any

Directions to the BCOS 2024 Picnic
Traveling from the North on Wickham Road:
Turn right onto Post Road. (Publix shopping center on the right.
Eastern Florida college and King Center on the corner). Take the second
right into Windover Farms of Melbourne. Ahead on the right is the
pavilion.
Traveling from the beach side:
Take
the Pineda Crossing exit west to N. Wickham road. Turn left. Then
follow the directions above. If you are traveling south from the
Realtor’s office, you would turn RIGHT onto Post Road. The SECOND RIGHT
brings you into the Windover Farms subdivision. The pavilion is
straight ahead on the right. Parking is in the lot or along the first
road on your right.
There is
no parking on Windover Way itself. The pavilion is covered
and has lights, so we can have the picnic rain or shine.
